When you're building a new home out of a wooded lot, the driveway isn't just an afterthought - it's one of the first real pieces of infrastructure that makes everything else work. You need clean access for trades, proper drainage from day one, and a base that holds up through all kinds of conditions. That's exactly what we set out to deliver here.
The lot itself was carved right out of the trees. Getting a driveway laid through that kind of terrain takes more than just dumping gravel - it means prepping the ground correctly, grading for drainage, and making sure the base is compacted solid before a single load of rock goes down. We used the CAT skid steer to get the grading dialed in before laying the gravel surface.
What you end up with is a wide, level gravel drive that runs straight from the road to the garage. It handles traffic, sheds water away from the home, and gives the whole property a finished, intentional look even before the landscaping is done. A driveway done right at this stage saves the homeowner a lot of headaches later.
We do this kind of work pretty regularly - new builds, acreages, rural properties with raw land that needs to be shaped up before it's actually usable. Whether that's land clearing, dirt work, or getting a driveway installed from scratch, we bring the right equipment and the experience to back it up. A solid start matters.
